Bernal and Cardenas become PCPD’s newest hometown cops

Chris Bernal (left) and Josue Cardenas pose for a picture on Wednesday, July 12, at the Port Chester police headquarters at 350 N. Main St. before beginning their training as new recruits. The two officers will attend the Westchester County Police Academy for approximately five months before completing a four-to six-week field training with the Port Chester Police Department. They will be on patrol by January 2024.
