One can never be too young to start practicing philanthropy.
Two Rye Brook friends, Ayra Chandarana and Naisha Battiwala, ages 3 and 4 respectively, put up a lemonade and cupcake stand in the BelleFair community on Saturday, July 22.
They raised $280 and donated it all to the American India Foundation to help children, especially girls, seek STEM education in India.
“At such a young age, they were able to bring together our BelleFair community behind such a great cause,” expressed Chandarana’s mother, Teena Angale. “It was a day filled with fun, joy and laughter.”
She hopes their story will encourage other young girls across Rye Brook to give back to their community.
