NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Town of Rye until 2 p.m. local time on March 24, 2023, at the Office of the Rye Town Clerk, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, New York 10573, at which time and place said sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the work:

Milling of existing roadway surfaces and resurfacing with HMA top course, reset existing cobblestone curb, remove and install new asphalt curb, epoxy reflectorized pavement markings and other appurtenant work all in accordance with Town of Rye requirements.

No bids will be received or considered after the time stated above. The bid opening will be held via Zoom.  Anyone wishing to attend may contact Town Clerk Hope Vespia ([email protected] (914) 939-3570) to request the Zoom link.

 

Specifications and Bid Proposal Forms will be available on March 10, 2023. A hard copy or digital copy of the bid package may be obtained at www.bidset.com/Dolph for the non-refundable sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00).  If you would like to receive a digital copy of the bid package free of charge, please email Town Clerk Hope Vespia ([email protected]) and include your contact information.

A Certified Check or Bond payable to the Town of Rye shall accompany the sealed bid, for the sum equal to 5% of the bid price.  The checks of the unsuccessful bidders shall be returned within 45 days of the bid award.

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and clearly marked CRAWFORD PARK DRIVEWAY REHABILITATION”.

The Town of Rye reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities at their discretion, and to award contracts in a manner deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Rye even if such award is to be other than the lowest bid.  M/WBE participation is encouraged.

This project is funded in part by a grant from the State and Municipal Facilities Program (“SAM”).

A mandatory site visit and interview at the congregate meal site will be on March 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. local time at the Port Chester Senior/Community Center.

A bid bond, certified check or bank check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany the bid proposal, which shall be calculated as provided in the bid specifications.

All bids must be submitted by electronic format (ex. CD or USB flash drive; e-mail is not an acceptable format or method of transference) in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “BID # 2023-05 PREPARED MEALS FOR SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM”.

Failure to comply with these requirements shall result in the proposal being deemed non-responsive.
