Popular Japanese retailer Daiso to open at Rye Ridge in 2023

Daiso Japan Online Store has signed a long-term lease for almost 6,000 square feet at Rye Ridge Plaza in Rye Brook. Their new space was formerly occupied by Ace Hardware.
Daiso, which is based in Hiroshima, Japan, is a wildly popular general merchandise store that has a cult following. Typically, the stores carry holiday décor, storage solutions, kitchen items, beauty supplies, pet supplies, gardening items, electronics, snacks, toys and school/craft supplies. They offer an eclectic, yet practical, design focused mix of more than 100,000 products and 40,000 product lines. Their products have an international reputation of high quality and optimized pricing. Many products they design and manufacture themselves.
Currently Daiso operates more than 5,000 stores in over 25 countries.
“I have been working to get Daiso here for many years,” said Erin Hinchey, leasing agent for the shopping center. “They are the perfect complement to our existing retailers. They will provide our shoppers with products of great importance in their everyday life, all of great design and at really quality price points. I am so excited for them to open.”
