Joanne Piazza: Devoted wife and caretaker

Joanne Piazza, 90, a longtime resident of Port Chester, died Nov. 7, 2023.
She was born May 21, 1933 in San Giovanni, Italy to Giuseppe and Antoinetta Lopresti who predeceased her.
A strong and fiercely independent woman grounded in her Catholic faith, she was a wonderful and devoted wife, a selfless caretaker of her sons, and a loyal and kind soul to all her family, friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Piazza is survived by her son Vincent Piazza and his wife Barbara and was predeceased by her husband Luigi, her youngest son Gino and her sisters Rachele and Caterina.
Visitation will be held 3-7 p.m. Sun., Nov. 12 at Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St. Port Chester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Mon., Nov. 13 at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Ave., Greenwich, followed by Rite of Committal at Saint Mary's Cemetery, 399 North St., Greenwich.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.
