Our Knights of Columbus council had the honor of hosting its annual Veterans Thank You Lunch last Saturday. We are so very grateful to be able to do this.

Our event coordinator was Brother Knight Chester Edwards. He did a fantastic job. The opening flag ceremony, POW/MIA tribute and presentations were outstanding. Many of our Knights and Ladies Auxiliary members also came out to lend a hand.

Local teenage Girl Scouts cooked and served all the food and drinks that day. These six young women showed up early in the morning and stayed focused on the task at hand. Of all the places they could have been or all the excuses they could have made not to be there, they came to honor and thank our veterans.

This event truly was a community effort. Thanks to all who participated.
