Clay Art Center, 40 Beech St., Port Chester, is holding its annual Clay Holiday Market in the gallery and online thru Dec. 23. Shoppers can enjoy browsing for ceramic gifts, ornaments, cultural items, contemporary tableware and sculptures. Shop local and give handmade this season! The annual event celebrates the hard work and creativity of regional and nationally recognized artists, current and past Artists-in-Residence, emerging artists and CAC artists. Port Chester High School Drama Club will present “12 Angry Jurors,” in the high school auditorium, 1 Tamarack Rd., Fri. & Sat., Nov. 17 & 18 at 7 p.m. Appropriate for ages 10+. This play is very dramatic and deals with the social justice system, murder, violence, etc. Tickets are $3 in advance; $8 at the door. Thanksgiving, a federal holiday, will be observed Thurs., Nov. 23. Government offices in the Town of Rye and the villages of Port Chester and Rye Brook will be closed Thurs. & Fri., Nov. 23 & 24, as will the Port Chester and Rye Brook Senior Centers. Port Chester and Blind Brook schools will have early dismissal Wed., Nov. 22 and will be closed Nov. 23 & 24. The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library will be open Wed., Nov. 22, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and will be closed Thurs., Nov. 23. Most banks and the post office will be closed Thurs., Nov. 23, and there will be no mail delivery. In Port Chester, there will be no garbage or recycling collections Thurs., Nov. 23. Thursday collections will move to Wed., Mon., Tues. & Fri. collections will be unchanged. No bulk/green waste collections this week.
