The Port Chester Youth Bureau hosted an educational trip to Washington, D.C. last weekend. Director Charles Morgan took 10 youths and two chaperones, one male and one female, to the nation’s capital.

The Red Rover van departed Port Chester on Nov. 10 with an action-packed schedule. The points of interest visited were the African American Museum, the Lincoln Memorial, Howard University, the U.S. Capitol and numerous restaurants with welcoming ambiance and delectable food.

“We wish we had more time, but the time spent will be etched in our hearts and minds until we return next year with a new group,” wrote Sharon Castleberry with the Youth Bureau in an email. “This trip is a keeper and should be an annual excursion.”
