The Port Chester soccer Rams’ high-scoring senior Ramaul Morgan made the All-Section team announced by the Section One Coaches Association Monday (11/20), Nicholas Tellez received All-Section Honorable Mention and five Rams were named to the All-League team: Jonathan Bautista, Julian Lopez, Christian Antunez and Morgan and Tellez. Santiago Marquez was the only Ram named to the All-League cross country team.
But the Blind Brook Trojans and Lady Trojans did a lot better when Blind Brook Athletic Director Kimberly Saxton and senior office assistant Lauren Fantone of the Department of Athletics, Health and Physical Education announced the Blind Brook Section One Fall post-season All-Star Award winners, including a record 29 student-athletes making the various All-Section, All-Conference and All-League teams.
Four Blind Brook players made the All-Section team: Fernanda Julian and Oriah Rosenfeld in volleyball, Sydney Goldberg in swimming and Nicholas Palacios in soccer while Martin Otero received All-Section Honorable Mention in soccer and Ella Rosenfeld made the All-Conference Volleyball Team.
Julian and the Rosenfelds also made the All-League VB team as did Goldberg in swimming and Martin Otero and Palacios in soccer.
The other Blind Brook All-League selections included cheerleaders Hailey Mallah and Ava Muoio, tennis players Carly Heinberg and Zoey Possick and Trojan soccer players Joaquin Otero and Eli Zimmerman. Also Lady Trojan soccer aces Kayleigh Curran, Alexandra Maniscalco, Veronica Pallotta, Jordan Sternschein and Anna Vnenchak.
Trojans Tomakazu Yamano and Luka Cuk received All-League Honorable Mention in soccer as did Lady Trojans Alexandra Beatty and Ava Shaw.
That constitutes a veritable galaxy of local All-Star selections. And Westmore News salutes them all for helping make the Fall scholastic sports season one to remember.
