Connie F. Catalano: King St. School crossing guard and beauty salon owner

Connie F. Catalano, 77, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Oct. 16, 2023.
She was born Sept. 30, 1946 in Port Chester to Joseph and Mildred Manfredo Catalano who predeceased her.
Connie was raised and educated in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School in 1964.
For 47 years she was the owner of Danielle's Hair Salon in Port Chester with Mary Ann Romanello, was a clerk at the Purchase U.S. Post Office and a beloved crossing guard for 10 years at King Street Elementary School in Port Chester.
She was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester and a member of the Port Chester Seniors.
Connie is survived by her best friend Mary Ann Romanello of Port Chester, her nieces Christine Blunt and Michelle Kravitz and three other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Micheline "Mickey" Campanile.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Sun., Oct. 22 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Mon., Oct. 23 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi Church), 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester. Interment is private.
