SCHOOL TAX NOTICE


2023/2024


This is a courtesy reminder to all taxpayers whose property is located in the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District, Blind Brook-Union Free School District and the Rye Neck-Union   Free School  District that  the first half of the school  tax must be paid by September 30, 2023. Payments must be postmarked by the U S Post Office no later than  September 30, 2023. Due to the fact that September 30th is a Saturday, you can deposit your payment in the box located in front of 222 Grace Church St., Port Chester or bring it to the office by Monday October 2nd. If payment is not received by that date, a mandatory penalty of 2% will be added for the month of October and will increase monthly thereafter.


For your convenience, there are three ways for you to make payments.


1)You may mail your check in the envelope provided. Be sure to include the first half stub of the bill. If you would like a receipt, mark the appropriate box on the stub. Payments must be postmarked by the US Post Office no later than September 30, 2023 to avoid the penalty.


2)You may also drop your payment in the special locked box in front of the building at 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester. Include the whole bill with

your payment and we will mail you a receipt. No postage is required.


3)You may pay on line. You may pay by credit card. Please be advised that there is a convenience fee of 2.35% that will be applied to all payments made with credit cards, debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express) and Pay Pal. The minimum fee is $1.95. A convenience fee of $1.50 will be applied to all payments made with ACH/eCheck. You may also pre-schedule your tax payment date. BID NOTICE


The Town of Rye, New York, hereby gives notice that General Contractor’s sealed bids will be received in the office of the Town Clerk for:


Recreation Field and Associated Work at Crawford Park, Rye Brook, NY


Contract Documents:  The Contract Documents are available electronically by contacting Arconics Architecture, PC at (914) 937-5596 Ext. 104. Prospective bidders must provide a specific company contact name, email and phone number.

TIME: Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Rye at 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, NY 10573 in the Town Clerk’s office until 11:00 AM local time, on Friday, October 6, 2023.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time in the Supervisor’s Office.


BIDS: All bids shall be addressed to the attention of the Town Clerk, Town of Rye, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, NY 10573, and shall be enclosed, with the name and address of the Bidder and name of the project shown on the outside of the sealed envelope.  On Monday, September 25, 2023, there will be a pre-bid inspection of the project site. Meeting will convene at 11:00 AM at the Pavilion in Crawford Park, 122 North Ridge Street, Rye Brook, NY 10573.

BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to the Town of Rye, in the amount of five  percent (5%) of the bid, shall accompany each bid as a guaranty, that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the contract and the certificate of insurance, as required by the contract.  Should the Bidder fail in meeting this provision, then the amount of the certified check or bid bond will be forfeited to the Town as liquidated damages.


BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of the Rye Town Park Commission. Also, no bid can be resubmitted by a bidder that has successfully withdrawn a bid prior to the bid opening.
