John R. Ferraro: U.S. Army veteran and plumbing company partner

John R. Ferraro, 88, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Aug. 2, 2024.
He was born July 14, 1936 in Port Chester to Rocco and Angelina Carrieri Ferraro who predeceased him.
John was raised and educated in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School in 1954.
He served in the U.S. Army, was a partner in the Rocco Ferraro Plumbing & Heating business and was a devoted parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester.
He is survived by his beloved siblings: Mary Ann and Frank Latella of Noblesville, Ind.; Phyllis F. Vitti of Boston, Mass. and Donald and Patricia Ferraro of Port Chester and by an extended family of nieces and nephews; his greatest love was for his family.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed following college and professional sports teams.
