2024-2025 VILLAGE OF PORT CHESTER TAX

SECOND HALF REMINDER


This is to notify all taxpayers whose property is located in the Village of Port Chester that the first half of the village tax is due by December 31, 2024. Payments must be POSTMARKED BY THEUS POST OFFICE NO LATER THAN December 31, 2024. If payment is not received by that date, a mandatory, non-waivable penalty of 2% will be added for the month of January and will increase monthly thereafter.


For your convenience, there are three ways for you to make payments.


You may mail your check in the envelope provided. Be sure to include the second half stub of the bill. If you would like a receipt, mark the appropriate box. Payments must be postmarked by the US Post office no later than December 31, 2024 to avoid the penalty.


You may also drop your payment in the special locked box in front of the building at 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester. Include the ENTIRE BILL with your payment and we will send you a receipt. You do not need a stamp.


You may pay on-line. You may pay by a credit card. You may also pay by electronic transfer (ACH) echeck. Check the back of the bill for instructions or follow the instructions below.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Rye has completed the Preliminary Budget for the fiscal year 2025 and that the same will be on file in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Rye, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, New York and will be available for inspection upon request during office hours, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.


The Town Council will be meeting in person at the Crawford Mansion Community Center, 122 North Ridge Street, Rye Brook, New York on Thursday, December 12, 2024. If you have a computer, tablet or smartphone, you can see the video and hear the audio of the live session on the Town of Rye’s Facebook Page. There is a link posted on the Town’s Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/TownofRyeNY/


Interested persons are invited to attend and will be afforded the opportunity to be heard at that time when the Supervisor calls for Public Comments regarding the 2025 Preliminary Budget.  Anyone wishing to attend the meeting via Zoom may access the meeting at the link provided https://townofryeny.zoom.us/j/83003345708


A copy of the 2025 Preliminary Budget may be obtained upon request to the Town Clerk at [email protected] and also viewed on the Town of Rye Website www.ryetownny.gov 


The proposed salaries of the members of the Town Board are as follows:  Supervisor $31,796.00, Town Councilpersons (4) at $6,360.00 each, the salary of the Town Clerk is $122,000.00.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolutions, summaries of which are published herewith, have been adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Chester, Westchester County, New York, on November 4, 2024, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolutions may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which said Village is not authorized to expend money, or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution. Such resolutions were subject to a permissive referendum. The period of time has elapsed for the submission and filing of a petition for a permissive referendum, and a valid petition has not been submitted and filed.


Complete copies of the resolutions summarized herewith are available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Office of the Village Clerk for a period of twenty days from the date of publication of this Notice.

$3,300,000 bonds

Type II Action


Each of such resolutions pledges the full faith and credit of the Village to the payment of the obligations authorized to be issued and delegates to the Village Treasurer, the Chief Fiscal Officer, the power to authorize the issuance of and to sell such obligations. Additionally each of such resolutions contains the estoppel clause provided for by Section 80.00 of the Local Finance Law and authorizes such resolution, after taking effect to be published in summary form in the official newspaper, together with a notice of the Village Clerk, in substantially the form provided in Section 81.00 of the Local Finance Law. Each of the above objects or purposes has been determined to be a Type II Action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act, which, as such, the regulations thereunder provide, will not have any significant adverse impact on the environment.
