Zofia Rebisz, 89, a longtime resident of Port Chester, died Dec. 5, 2024.
She was born July 30, 1935 in Poland to Jozef and Anastazja Staszuk Korzeniewski, who predeceased her, and was raised and educated in Poland.
After immigrating to the U.S., she settled in Port Chester.
She was married to Boguslaw Rebisz at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester where she was a longtime parishioner. Mr. Rebisz died Aug. 2, 2021.
Mrs. Rebisz was an employee of R.B. & W. Nut and Bolt Works and then was a longtime employee of Life Savers, both in Port Chester.
She is survived by her beloved son George Rebisz of Ossining, grandchildren Cassi Duplessis, Erica Rebisz and Michael Rebisz, great-grandson Caleb Duplessis; brothers Edek Korzeniewska of London, England and Kazik Korzeniewska of Montreal, Canada and sister Jadza Klim of London.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Mon., Dec. 16 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tues., Dec. 17 at the Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi), 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester, followed by interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich.
