People won’t realize how important you have been until you’re gone

Rhoda and I were very saddened to read that the Westmore News is closing this week.
We have lived in Rye Brook for 46 years (actually arriving before the creation of Rye Brook) and your newspaper has always been there. Having a reliable source of local news reporting is really important to a small community like ours. As a Blind Brook school board member for nine years, and an involved participant in other groups within the district before that, I am certainly appreciative of the coverage you have given Blind Brook, and Port Chester schools for that matter.
People will not realize how important you have been to all of us until you are no more.
We wish you all the best as you move on to the next stage in your lives.
