Westmore News will be missed

I’ve always felt Port Chester was incredibly fortunate to have a local newspaper. Running a paper with weekly deadlines is no easy job, but the original reporting of local events over the decades of the Westmore News’s existence has provided our community with much-needed information and connected us all. For many people this is the only print paper they receive.
The coverage of village meetings, elections, controversies, school events, obituaries and sports teams will be deeply missed. Generations of children got to see their names and faces in their local paper thanks to the Westmore News, and all of us were kept informed. Thank you to the Abel family, the reporters, most recently Sarah Wolpoff and David Tapia, and Marian Kromberg and Angie Brescia for the service you provided over the years. You will be missed.
