Nina Cotte: Retired executive secretary

Nina Cotte, 86, a longtime resident of Port Chester, died Feb. 19, 2024.

She was born June 16, 1937 in Scilla, Reggio Calabria, Italy to Ugo and Domenica Fava Fama who predeceased her.

She immigrated to the U.S. at the age of three and was raised and educated in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School and Berkeley Business School.

She was married May 1, 1960 at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester to John Cotte who died Oct. 12, 2013.

Mrs. Cotte was a retired executive secretary, having worked at Boardroom, Inc. in Stamford, Conn. and prior to that at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research in Rye and NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

She was a devout and active parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester and a eucharistic minister.

She is survived by her beloved children Lisa Cotte LoMonaco and her husband Joseph of Bayville, N.Y., John M. Cotte and his wife Debra of New Fairfield, Conn., Jill Cotte Guinta of New Milford, Conn., and Christopher M. Cotte and his wife Stella of Rye Brook; grandchildren Brandon LoMonaco, Taylor LoMonaco, John "J.D." Cotte, Christina Cotte, John Guinta, Zach Guinta, Lyla Cotte; great-grandchildren Christian Guinta and Tanner Guinta and her sister Marie Holko and her husband Joseph of Greenwich, Conn.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Fri., Feb. 23 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Sat., Feb. 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy), 260 Westchester Ave., Port Chester, followed by internment at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.

Memorial donations in her memory. may be made to the Parish of Saint John or to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.
