The ABCs for registering to play in the P.C. Youth Baseball League

It's time for all parental Port Chester and Rye Brook baseball aficionados to consider signing up their kids for the upcoming Port Chester Youth Baseball Spring Inhouse Baseball Season. There's no better way locally to learn the baseball ABCs and proceed right up the learning alphabet, from hitting to fielding, pitching to catching at the different levels of play.

There are different levels and skillsets depending on the baseball experience and age groups for what amounts to an open air classroom specializing in how to play the game, from actual coaching to competitive game play.

The registration procedure to play ball is almost as simple as ABC.

ELIGIBILITY - All ballplayers from Port Chester and Rye Brook are eligible to play in all divisions – Major League (ages 11 and 12), Minor League (ages 9 and 10), Rookie (ages 6-8) and T-Ball (ages 4 and 5)

BASEBALL AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR 2024 - PCYBL candidate's age for the 2024 season will be determined based on how old they are on 5/01/24. When registering, please be sure to indicate how old the player will be as of that date.

LEAGUE SEASON - League games will begin on Saturday, Apr. 13, and continue through mid-June at Lyon Park.

REGISTRATION FEE: Tee Ball: $125; Rookie: $175; Minor: $225 and Major $250.

Coaches range from skilled volunteers to Port Chester High School varsity baseball Ram coaches who find that the PCYBL is a virtual training ground for most of the school's future stars.
