SCHOOL TAX NOTICE


2023/2024


This is a courtesy reminder to all taxpayers whose property is located in the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District, Blind Brook-Union Free School District or the Rye Neck-Union Free School District that the second half of the school tax must be paid by January 31, 2024. Payments must be POSTMARKED BY THE U S POST OFFICE NO LATER THAN January 31, 2024. If payment is not received by that date, a mandatory penalty of 10% will be added for the months of February and March and will increase monthly thereafter.


For your convenience, there are three ways for you to make payments.


1.You can mail your check in the envelope provided. Be sure to include the second half stub of the bill. If you would like a receipt, mark the appropriate box on the stub. Payments must be postmarked by the US


2.If you have any questions, please call the Tax Office at 914 939-3558 for assistance. Post Office no later than January 31, 2024 to avoid the penalty. Due to mail processing changes that have added time to the delivery process, we request that you mail your payment a few days earlier.


3.You may also drop your payment in the secure lock box in front of the building at 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester. Include the whole bill with your payment and we will mail you a receipt. No postage is required.


4.You may pay on line. You may pay by credit card. Please be advised that there is a convenience fee of 2.35% that will be applied to all payments made with credit cards, debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express) and Pay Pal. The minimum fee is $1.95. A convenience fee of $1.50 will be applied to all payments made with ACH/eCheck.

§ 250-25.E The maximum allowable gross floor area is 2,332 square feet. The applicant proposes to remove the illegal basement apartment and legalize as a finished basement with recreation room, bedroom and bathroom in communication with first floor apartment resulting in a gross floor area of 2,757 square feet.Therefore, a gross floor area variance of 425 square feet is requested.

LEICESTER STREET BULKLEY DRAIN REPAIR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Village of Port Chester until Thursday, February 15th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. local time at the Office of the Village Clerk, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, New York 10573, at which time and place said sealed bids will be publicly opened and read out aloud for


“Leicester Street Bulkley Drain Repair”


No bids will be received or considered after the date/time stated above.


This work consists of repairing a partial collapse in an approximately 25-ft long portion of a 4x7 foot box culvert known as the Bulkley Drain, including but not limited to potholing, excavation, protection of property, culvert repair, backfill and restoration.


A Pre-Bid conference will not be held. Bidding contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the project site before submitting bids.


Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be procured at the Office of the Village Clerk, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, New York beginning on January 26th, 2024 and available on the Village’s web-page https://www.portchesterny.gov/Bids.aspx or in-person at the office during regular business hours.


A bid bond, certified check, or bank check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the bid. Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the closing date/time for receipt of all bids.


All requests for clarifications must be submitted no later than February 12th, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.


All proposals must be submitted by hard copy AND by electronic format (ex: CD or USB flash drive: E-mail is not an acceptable format or method of transference) in a sealed envelope clearly marked:

The successful bidder will be required to timely provide performance and labor and material bonds in an amount equal to the bid award and to proceed to contract upon notice of the bid award.


The Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Chester reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities at its discretion, and to make such bid award that it deems is in the best interest of the Village of Port Chester even if such award is to other than the lowest bidder.
