Peyton Tormey of Port Chester has been named to the Dean's List at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. for the spring 2024 semester. Students who earn Dean's List honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Peyton is majoring in Health Sciences.

The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions recently welcomed new members including Dr. Katherine Sinsabaugh, Supervisor, Fine & Performing Arts, Port Chester-Rye UFSD, and Dr. Colleen Carroll, Deputy Superintendent, Port Chester-Rye UFSD. They join existing members including Dr. Colin Byrne, Superintendent of Schools, Blind Brook-Rye UFSD, and Dr. Michael Curtin, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, Blind Brook-Rye UFSD.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer has announced the return of free Bee-Line Bus Rides for this summer from July 1-Sept. 2 on all Bee-Line buses including Para Transit. The League of Women Voters of Westchester County has announced that their 2024 Directory of Officials is available for purchase at https://mylwv.org/new-york-westchester/2024-directory-officials for $9 per copy. The 2024 Directory contains new content including social media, email addresses, URLs for streaming of public governmental meetings, legislative district maps and charts and more.
The League of Women Voters of Westchester County has announced that Early Voting for the 2024 Primaries will run Sat., June 15-Sun., June 23. The Primary Election will be Tues., June 25.
The next Port Chester High School Marching Band bottle and can recycling collection will be Sun., June 16, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Middle School parking lot on Bowman Avenue, Rye Brook. The DMV Mobile Unit will be at the Westchester Mall, 125 Westchester Ave., White Plains Sat. & Sun., June 15 & 16 and Sun., July 7, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for residents to get their REAL ID that is required by the federal government to board a domestic flight.
