Kindness matters at CCHR School

A Buddy Bench was dedicated at Corpus Christi Holy Rosary School on Wednesday, May 22. Attending the festivities were, from left, Father Deiunel, Sister Liz, Sister Karen, staff member Ginger Corbia, Mario DiGiorgio, a Bronx Kiwanis Club donor; County Legislator Nancy Barr, Principal Deidre McDermott, Christine Fils-Aime from State Senator Shelley Mayer’s office, staff member Pam Mickatavage and Tom Corbia from the Gil Gordon Anti-Bullying Committee. The celebration included T-shirts that say “Corpus Christi Holy Rosary School believes in Kindness” for all students and staff at a cost of $1,500. The bench cost $1,000. The shirts and bench were paid for by the Bronx Kiwanis Club, the Gil Gordon Anti-Bullying Committee in Port Chester and funds raised by the students.
