Marie Josephine Fidelibus Olson: Longtime hospital employee

Marie Josephine Fidelibus Olson, 89, a longtime Port Chester resident, died peacefully at home May 28, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Olson, who was born Mar. 20, 1935, was a longtime employee at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Harrison and New York Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains.

She is survived by her three children: Donna Accurso James, Eddy Olson (Regina) and Carol Olson LaBella Waller (Wes); eight grandchildren: Jason James, Toya Davis, Fallon Vertullo, Peter LaBella (Sara), Nicole LaBella, Taylor Olson, Jordan Olson and Dalton Olson; eight great-grandchildren: Jason James (Morgan), Dominique James, Skyy King, Hunter King, Tyson Dade, Anthony LaBella, Jeremiah James, and Melody LaBella; two great-great-grandchildren, Mason Malcolm and Avery James; nephew Peter Fina and niece Joann Costanza and their families.

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mamie Fidelibus, her sister Rose Fina (Pete), her daughter Judith Accurso Davis and her longtime companion Jacques Bonelli.

Mrs. Olson was known as “Mrs. O” to all her children’s friends. She had a beautiful and kind heart, was funny and was loved by all. She will truly be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Services will be held in Port Chester Wed., June 12 from 6-9 p.m. at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home, 121 S. Regent St. Mass will be held Thurs., June 13 at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St.

In lieu of monetary gifts, donations may be made in her name to NAMI Westchester, Inc. (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
