HOOPS Clinics will be held in the Blind Brook High School gym, 840 King St., Rye Brook, Fri., June 7, 3:45-5 p.m. for girls and Mon., Tues. & Thurs., June 10, 11 & 13, 3:45-5 p.m. for boys. Westchester County Poet Laureate Phylisha Villanueva will perform a poem of her own, and there will be poetry from a Port Chester High School student from the Slam Poetry Club. Through funding from ArtsWestchester, the Historical Society has been able to commission paintings and drawings based on records of slavery they have, and attendees will be able to talk to the artists themselves.
