Christ Church Greenwich, 254 E. Putnam Ave., will present a concert and reception Sat., Mar. 16 at 5 p.m. Renowned organist Jamie Hitel will present a program of a variety of classical and sacred music spanning the organ repertory from the baroque to the present day. The pieces will include works by Buxtehude, Boyce, Bach, Vivaldi, Franck, Mathias, Messiaen and Philip Moore. Admission is free, and a free will offering will be taken. The Greenwich Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held Sun., Mar. 17 at 2 p.m. beginning at Greenwich Town Hall. After leaving Town Hall, the parade will head up Field Point Road on US 1 to the top of Greenwich Avenue then down the length of the Avenue. The parade will be led by Grand Marshal Thomas Byrne and will have six bagpipe bands among the 13 total bands which will include the Port Chester High School Marching Band. In addition, there will be at least 70 groups of local schools, Scouts, fire and police departments and civic organizations marching. The Regeneron Westchester Science & Engineering Fair, the largest regional high school science fair competition in the country, will be held Sat., Mar. 16, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Somers High School, 120 Primrose St., Lincolndale. The awards ceremony will be held Thurs., Mar. 21, 6:30-9 p.m., at the same location. Participants, mostly seniors and juniors involved in their high school science research programs, will showcase their work via poster presentations, which will be judged by local experts in the fields of life science, physical science, environmental studies, psychology and engineering.
