Letter: A few minor corrections to last week’s tax receiver story

This letter is a rebuttal to the article in last week’s paper regarding the Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Rye. I was never Deputy Receiver of Taxes. I applied in response to the Public Notice by the Rye Town Board about the upcoming vacancy in the position. After the candidate interviews, I was chosen and appointed to the position, later running for the unexpired term and winning. I appointed Carol Truance as my deputy. Previous Receiver of Taxes Hope Vespia’s deputy was John Provino.
