A Port Chester Blood Drive will be held Fri., May 10, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Port Chester Senior Community Center, 220 Grace Church St. Register at redcrossblood.org

A Cornhole Tournament for Rye Brook residents will take place Sat., May 11, 5-8:30 p.m. in Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Road. Brackets will be broken down by age groups: 12 & under; 18 & under; 40 & under and 40+ with a maximum of four players per team roster and eight teams per division. Each game will be played to 11; teams will play a double elimination tournament. Free. Refreshments will be served. Registration on CommunityPass on a first come-first served basis. A Port Chester Board of Education Candidates’ Forum will be held at Port Chester Middle School, 111 Bowman Ave., Rye Brook, Fri., May 17 at 7 p.m. if there is a contested election. If it is not contested, the forum will be cancelled. As of press time, only two candidates were running for two seats: incumbent Sharon Burke and JoAnne Ferrara.

DPW Day 2024 will take place Sat., May 18, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at 82 Fox Island Rd., Port Chester. There will be demonstrations, education, giveaways, activities, tours, touch-a-truck and more. The first 100 children who visit will receive an official DPW water bottle while supplies last; limit one per child.

Colorblast 2024 will be held Sat., May 18, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. outdoors at Crawford Park, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook. The event supports pancreatic cancer research and is a celebration of color with DJ entertainment, games, raffles, henna and vendors with food to purchase. Port Chester’s 156th Birthday will be celebrated at an Open House Sat., May 18, 1-4 p.m. at the Bush-Lyon Homestead in Lyon Park, 479 King St. There will be tours of the Homestead, paintings from the book “Painting 10573” by Alison Nicholls, a mini exhibition about High Point Hospital, high school yearbooks, a “please touch these items” table of historical objects and snacks.

The Village of Rye Brook will host a Scavenger Hunt in Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Road, Sat., May 18, 5-7 p.m. for 5- to 12-year-olds.
