Giovanni Lusi: Landscaper

Giovanni Lusi, 91, of Rye Brook, died Nov. 22, 2024 after a brief illness.
Mr. Lusi was born Nov. 17, 1933 in San Giovanni Commune di Tornareccio Province, Chieti, Italy.
On Feb. 25, 1960, he married Lina di Nardo of Colledimezzo Province, Chieti, Italy.
Mr. Luisi lived in Rye Brook since 1974. Before that he lived in White Plains and previously spent 10 years in Germany.
He worked as a landscaper for Labriola Landscaping in White Plains. He was with the company for many years before retiring at the age of 62.
He was a member of Soft Drink-Brewery Workers Local 812.
Mr. Lusi will be remembered for his deep passion for gardening, his unwavering work ethic and his remarkable physical vitality.
He is survived by his brother Frederico, sister Anna and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 29 at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home, 121 S. Regent St., Port Chester.
A funeral will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 30 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rye Brook.
