Local officials and members of the Columbus Day Observance Committee gather at the statue of Christopher Columbus up on a hill at Columbus Park off Ryan Avenue on the morning of Sunday, Oct. 13 to commemorate Columbus’s arrival in the Americas on Oct. 12, 1492 with a beautiful memorial wreath.
