Letter: Stop the Prop 1 scam

The same people who told you Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian operation, then decided that our gas stoves are as dangerous to our planet as cow farts and assured us that President Biden was "sharp as a tack" are now trying to get us to turn the NY State Constitution into a woke wishing well.

Here’s how it would happen: Democratic Party machines elect political judges who will do anything the city bosses tell them to do. The woke propaganda machine gets voters to pass a vague Proposition 1 “Everyone must be treated equal” constitutional amendment. Then lawyers bring cases arguing that since children are “equal,” they should not be controlled by parents, and since men who choose to be gendered female are “equal,” they must be allowed to play women’s sports, and since illegal aliens are “equal,” they must be allowed to vote. The judges agree, “Yup, that’s what the state constitution says.” Done. Finished. Move to Florida if you don’t like it.

That’s the way the Prop 1 scam will use new “age,” “gender identity,” and “national origin” rights, in an amended state constitution, to take away our ability to recognize the reality that minor children and their adult parents are not equal, male and female athletes are not equal, and illegal aliens and U.S. citizens are not equal. Prop 1 will make common sense unconstitutional.

Governor Hochul and the Democrat-controlled legislature want to deliver these insane policies for their radical supporters, but they don’t want to take responsibility or blame for them. They would prefer to use Prop 1 as a weapon that will enable the woke mob to go to court and win every lawsuit their perverse minds can imagine.

If you care about parental authority over your own children, fair competition and safety in girls’ sports, and the importance of earned citizenship, remember to Vote No on Proposition 1 on your election ballot.
