A Family Fun & Pet Extravaganza will be held Sat., Sept. 7, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Abendroth Park, 139 Touraine Ave., Port Chester. Rain or shine. This free event presented by the Village of Port Chester and the SPCA of Westchester will include dog & cat adoptions, dog agility and lure course, crafts, vendors, food trucks and the Bubble Bus. The Blind Brook High School Varsity Soccer Captain Moms are hosting a Car Wash Fundraiser Sat., Sept. 7, 1-4 p.m. in the BBHS parking lot, 840 King St., Rye Brook to support Project Adam, a vital initiative aimed at providing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to underserved communities. Their goal is to expand community awareness, ensuring they can meet their fundraising targets and contribute meaningfully to this important cause. Suggested donation: $15; $20 for oversized vehicles. Donations may be made via Venmo or Zelle. Rain date: Oct. 12.
