Letter: County executive corrects Ceruzzi

I write to correct the misstatement made by Thomas Ceruzzi in his letter of Jan. 1. In it he asked why Senator Shelley Mayer and I have “forsaken” the restaurant community.

Over the past few months, there have been obvious efforts to dismiss Port Chester's visual past by creating a new set of construction and zoning ordinances that allow far too much freedom to developers and not nearly enough protection of Port Chester's unique and historical place in America's story.
