Dressed up as Lavinia Horton, Camille Linen describes what life was like for the 19th century woman to Park Avenue School fourth graders. Horton, a schoolteacher and the first female New York state school board member, is memorialized in a mural at the Port Chester post office and portrayed in the musical “Flashbacks,” about the history of Rye Town.
