The Port Chester Youth Baseball League Pirates 11U age-group team won the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League Fall Championship with an 8-3 win over the Frozen Ropes Rockies of Chester (N.Y.) last Saturday (11/4) in Danbury, Conn. And the local lads did it with a little help from their friends as players on the newly-formed team were drawn from nine area schools.
