Edison School celebrates Hispanic Heritage Night

<p class="Picture">A Mariachi Band took over the stage during the show’s intermission. </p>
<p class="Picture">Many of the boys in the audience practiced their water bottle flipping skills in front of the stage or off to the side of the gymnasium while the performances were underway. The goal was to flip their water bottles and have them land either on the cap or back on the bottom. </p>
<p class="Picture">Fifth graders close the night with a Colombian dance to “Carnaval Guarare.” </p>
<p class="Picture">Third grader Joacob Gordillo solos the Ecuadorian song, “Cantante Solista.” </p>
<p class="Picture">There were two sessions during the night – the first was dedicated to the young children and the second to the older ones. If they didn’t have kids performing, many parents went to the cafeteria for a potluck dinner. </p>
<p class="Picture">Kids of all ages came together for a Guatemalan song, “Yo Soy Puro Guatied.” </p>
<p class="Picture">Fourth graders show their moves to a traditional Bolivian dance and song, “El Carretero.”</p>
