B.B. Fall Fest brings balloons, horse races and more to RSS

<p class="Picture">Mohawk Day Camp and Country Day School workers Daniella and Steven Harris are hard at work making balloon animals for a line of kids. Both are working on crafting a monkey that is holding onto a palm tree. </p>
<p class="Picture">After some difficulties getting started on the muddy field, the Mohawk Express train was chugging along with two of its three carriages. </p>
<p class="Picture">A couple of boys are hard at work decorating pumpkins and coloring Halloween-themed drawings. </p>
<p class="Picture">Fourth grader Abby Goldstein of Lawridge Drive tries her luck at Sotheby’s International Realty table. She spun an “8,” which won her a medium size prize. </p>
<p class="Picture">State Senator George Latimer, Blind Brook Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Ross, Rye Brook Mayor Paul Rosenberg and Blind Brook Board of Education President Jeff Diamond were the judges for this year’s bake off. They scored the dishes on their taste and presentation – qualities that attracted many of the festival’s attendees as well as a lot of bees. </p>
<p class="Picture">After notching his arrow, 5-year-old Lucas DeBar and his father Dan take aim at five floating balls at Mohawk Day Camp’s table. The Elm Hill Drive residents worked together to pull back the bow for Lucas’s first shot at archery. </p>
<p class="Picture">Three horse riders try to bounce their way to victory on the derby game. Some were experts, but most tumbled over the front of their steeds in a fit of giggles. </p>
<p class="Picture"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Emmie Hodes of Mohegan Lane swings for the fences. The 5-year-old is a natural when it comes to baseball and managed to hit two targets on the blow-up game: a single and an out during Blind Brook PTA’s Fall Fest behind Ridge Street School on Saturday, Oct. 29. </span></p>
