Nervous kindergarteners pack halls of JFK ELC and KSS for ice cream socials

<p class="Picture">Luis Felipe, who is attending John F Kennedy’s Early Learning Center, enjoyed his chocolate chip muffin more than his fruit pop. The kindergartener opted for a mouthful of muffin and one cold hand instead of a brain freeze. </p>
<p class="Picture">The John F. Kennedy Early Learning Center’s cafeteria was packed with parents, children and teachers. Everyone was allowed to have a fruit pop and a muffin while the kids made new friends and the teachers spoke with parents. </p>
<p class="Picture">Six-year-old Agatha Martins enjoys her third Whole Fruit pop at John F. Kennedy’s Early Learning Center. In the stuffy cafeteria, this rising kindergartener sure knew how to stay cool. </p>
<p class="Picture">Rachael Perez, 5, dives into her Whole Fruit popsicle face first. The new Early Learning Center student got her face all sticky at the ELC’s kindergarten ice cream social on Thursday, Sept. 1, but she didn’t care one bit. </p>

<p class="Picture">The rain didn’t stop the fun. King Street School moved the ice cream social inside to their gym and had hula hoops and yellow scooters for the kids to use while they were on a sugar rush.</p>

<p class="Picture">For the Brescio family, Sept. 1 was all about 5-year-old Luke, who was about to start kindergarten at King Street School. He and his brother James, 2, thoroughly enjoy stuffing their mouths with ice cream during King Street School’s kindergarten ice cream social. </p>
