Making ornaments at Clay Art Center

Six-year-old Thornwood resident Leo DiNota practices extreme focus while detailing his snowman ornament in a Clay Art Center classroom at 40 Beech St. DiNota came to the Kids Ornament Making Clay Class with his school friend and parents on Saturday, Dec. 2. Another class will take place at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Luke Ciliberti, a 6-year-old from Thornwood, watches Zoey Scheler show the class how to cut out their ornaments. Scheler, the class instructor, is a 28-year-old resident artist at the Clay Art Center.

Each child made multiple clay ornaments, which will be ready to pick up before the holidays begin.
