March 22, 2018 at 7:01 a.m.
Francis Paredes hits a home run for the Port Chester High School sophomore “Sons of Pitches” team during the annual Port Chester Baseball Booster Club Wiffle Ball Tournament on Friday, Mar. 9, in the Port Chester Middle School gymnasium.
“Sons of Pitches” members chat it up with the pitcher, varsity baseball coach Eddie Martinez, before their next inning.
Scoring some points for the “Wiffle Pitches,” Port Chester Middle School eighth-grader Madison Ostrowski bolts into home.
Steve Borzoni bonds with his son John Borzoni, a Park Avenue Elementary School fifth-grader on the “Swing and a Wiff” team, over the ball game.
Roughly 120 people participated in the tournament, making up 20 teams of third-graders through high school seniors. The fifth-grade “Port Chester Peaches” represent King Street Elementary School pride while they take a well-deserved break.
