Bringing Dr. Seuss to life

After revitalizing Jojo’s (played by Tyler Oppenheimer) imagination, the Cat in the Hat (played by Lauren Sun) watches the episode unwind as he thinks of creative creatures in the water during bath time. The middle schoolers are singing “It’s Possible” during the drama club’s dress rehearsal for “Seussical Jr.” on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
Jojo (played by Tyler Oppenheimer) hides his face when the Cat in the Hat (played by Lauren Sun) describes imagining something sinister and scary during “Oh, The Things You Can Think.”
Horton the Elephant, played by Daniel Greenspan, revel in the joys of the jungle of Nool as the Bird Girls fan him. Birds from the left: Jinju Prince, Brooke Sosin, Zaara Suhail and Zoeya Suhail.
In a fun and yellow song and dance routine, Mrs. Mayor (left), Mr. Mayor and their son Jojo (played by Alyssa Artabane, James Gallagher and Tyler Oppenheimer) introduce Whoville during “Here on Who.”

Sneaking on the stage, the mean Wickersham Brothers monkeys search for Horton the Elephant so they can take him to trial on the basis of insanity.
When she’s accidently reunited with Horton the Elephant (played by Daniel Greenspan) after ditching him with her egg, Mayzie La Bird reasons she’s too crazy to take care of a baby before running off again.
The Cat in the Hat, played by Lauren Sun, places her hat on Jojo, played by Tyler Oppenheimer, to give him the reins of creativity for the story.
The cruel Wickersham Brothers monkeys harass Horton the Elephant, played by Daniel Greenspan, after he claims to hear voices from Who coming from a flower.
After sharing their dreams with each other in “Alone in the Universe,” Horton the Elephant (played by Daniel Greenspan) is happy he made a friend in Jojo the Who.
Bored, cranky and left to sit on an egg all day, Mayzie La Bird, played by Rachel George, tries to get Horton the Elephant to egg-sit for her during “How Lucky You Are.”
Sour Kangaroo (right), played by Toby Grossberg, and Baby Kangaroo, played by Arianna Nachman, Horton the Elephant’s tormentors from the jungle of Nool, send Horton off to auction to be sold to the circus.
When the judge rules Horton the Elephant is insane because no one believes the microscopic Whoville exists, the Whos gather and yell to make themselves heard for the sake of their lives.
