Repairing the world one deed at a time
May 9, 2019 at 9:51 a.m.
Rye resident Brian Hafford, his wife Wendy and their 13-year-old son Ayden focus closely on wrapping strips of felt together to make dog toys for service dogs. The family associated with Community Synagogue of Rye spent the afternoon repairing the world with various good deeds during Mitzvah Day on Saturday, May 4.
Performing an act of loving kindness, Burdsall Drive resident Karen Lipson helps beautify the synagogue’s grounds by clearing away freshly trimmed tree branches.
Donna DeLynn engages in cheerful conversation with friends as she ties pieces of fabric together for a knot blanket. The Carlton Lane resident is aiding the sick by making blankets to donate to Soul Ryeders.
