P.C. residents clear litter around the village

Riverdale Avenue resident Wilson Beltran looks for litter around the perimeter of a flower bed outside the Sunoco gas station on Westchester Avenue. Beltran was one of dozens who volunteered with the Port Chester Beautification Commission to clean up areas around the village on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 5.
Port Chester Department of Public Works General Foreman Rocco Cambareri and his son John, a sophomore at Somers High School, pick up bits of trash off an Irving Avenue sidewalk.
Cigarette butts were a common item that volunteers like North Regent Street resident Amanda Barrow collected from the Irving Avenue and Poningo Street sidewalks.
