Dogs show off their best for costume competition

Westchester Avenue resident and Troop 2895 Girl Scout Lyndsay Arroyo, 11, and her dog Mush, who is dressed as a show dog, begin the parade at the third annual Howl-O-Ween in the Park dog costume event at Pine Ridge Park on Saturday, Oct. 26 sponsored by the Village of Rye Brook and the Humane Society of Westchester.
Wearing one of the more unique costumes, Sprinkles, dressed as a candy corn princess, is held by Harrison resident Kaley Arozamena as she walks her around the park to be judged.
White Plains resident Kabir Valencia guides his dog Spike, dressed up as Sully from “Monsters, Inc.” for Halloween, around the course. At the end of the competition, Spike was crowned the first-place winner of this year’s Howl-O-Ween in the Park costume contest.
Bonwit Road resident Annette Morlino directs her dog Murphy, dressed as a jockey, around the course.
