Students dance and sing their way through annual B.B. talent show
February 6, 2020 at 6:46 a.m.
The spotlight is on Ridge Street School third-grader Tatiana Williams as she gets ready to dance her heart out to Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” with her group Girl Power. The dance crew was one of many skillful acts that performed during the Blind Brook Destination Imagination Booster Club’s second Blind Brook’s Got Talent show on Friday, Jan. 31.
During the sold-out show, emcee and Ridge Street School Principal Tracy Taylor riles up the crowd in the Blind Brook High School auditorium before the next act comes on.
Fourth-grader Mariah Porter remains focused during a portion of the Rye Brook Danse Ensemble’s original ballet performance.
Queen Elsa or Morgan Sontag? The kindergartner curtsies after enthusiastically singing “Into the Unknown” from the movie “Frozen II.”
The Bluebirds Buckaroos raise their arms as they get ready to dance and sing along to Lil Nas X’s hit song “Old Town Road” at the talent show, which raised over $7,000 for the Blind Brook Destination Imagination Booster Club.
Fourth-grader Rafael Marconi gives a thumbs up after successfully performing a guitar solo from “Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple.
Eighth-grader Joseph Pistone is all smiles after he nails his drum solo.
First-grader Clara Marconi masterfully plays “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” on the piano.
To close out the night, eighth-grader Lauren Sun and seventh-grader Grant Klein from the band The Hutch perform “Masterpiece” by Big Thief.
