BBMS gets creepy and kooky
January 23, 2020 at 3:23 a.m.
During a rehearsal for “The Addams Family Young@Part” on Wednesday, Jan. 15, Morticia Addams (played by eighth-grader Cassidy Wohl) reassures Pugsley, portrayed by eighth-grader Alex Thompson, that although his sister is getting married, there is still the sweet promise of eventual death. The show will go on Thursday, Jan. 23 and Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. as well as Saturday, Jan 25 at noon and 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $10 at showtix4u.com.
After learning his dark and twisted niece Wednesday Addams is engaged to Lucas Beineke, an Ohio native from a seemingly normal family, Uncle Fester (played by eighth-grader Hunter Greenspan) sings about love and his infatuation for the moon.
Though originally upset that her daughter Wednesday got engaged, Morticia (played by eighth-grader Cassidy Wohl) lets her despair go when she remembers that death is “Just Around the Corner.”
While portraying the moon, seventh-grader Grace Brunetti performs a dance routine as Uncle Fester sings about how he is in love with it during “The Moon and Me.”
After Lucas Beineke runs off due to a bizarre dinner with the Addams family, Wednesday (played by seventh-grader Abby Meron) tells her fiancé that she is upset he left.
To prove he is just as crazy as Wednesday (played by seventh-grader Abby Meron), Lucas Beineke (played by eighth-grader Will Jaffee) covers her eyes after suggesting she try to shoot an apple off his head while blindfolded.
Lucas’s father Mal Beineke (played by eighth-grader Ian Goldfeld) tells his wife Alice (portrayed by eighth-grader Ana Savitt) he is still crazy about her after he is inspired by Wednesday and Lucas’s quirky relationship.
After Wednesday’s father Gomez, played by eighth-grader Daniel Greenspan, keeps his daughter’s engagement a secret from his one true love Morticia, played by eighth-grader Cassidy Wohl, she packs her things and tries to leave him.
