January 23, 2020 at 3:40 a.m.
Jocelyn Goyburu (left) and Melinda Cardoso warm up by the fireplace as they play with their toys at the Girl Scout House in Lyon Park on Sunday, Jan. 19. The Park Avenue School first-graders are getting their energy out after brunch at “My Doll and Me Tea,” a Port Chester/Rye Brook Girl Scouts fundraiser to benefit the organization’s scholarship fund.
As one of the older Girl Scouts running the event, Port Chester Middle School seventh-grader Karah Provenzano is tasked with circling the room to refill pretty teacups as children munch on baked goods.
Four hands are better than two. King Street School friends, 8-year-old Madison McConnell (left) and Karly Omeara, 7, spend their arts and crafts time decorating a picture frame together.
Park Avenue School kindergartener Ava Ianello looks back for a reassuring smile from her mother as she sticks colorful stars onto her picture frame.
Showing off her extra-tall doll Olivia, Nella Lane 5-year-old Jacelyn Miranda grins for the camera by the Girl Scout House fireplace.
Smiling confidently with hopes to win, Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School fifth-grader Ariana Ayala places a raffle ticket in the bag for a scratch-off lottery gift basket.
Glendale Place resident Jordan Allen leans over to giggle with her 6-year-old daughter Samantha as they place markers on a board for American Girl Doll bingo.
King Street School first-grader Arianna Butkiewicz hugs her American Girl Doll and enjoys brunch with friends as her mother Marissa curiously looks on.
Waiting in line to partake in the raffle, 4-year-old Haines Boulevard resident Sophia Castro spins around with her doll Emma, who attended the party with her owner in a matching dress.
Park Avenue Elementary School third-grader Kaylee Garcia meticulously paints a picture frame in the Girl Scout House basement.
