Safe, but spooky
November 5, 2020 at 3:38 a.m.
Royalty showed up to the Unity Day Halloween Candy Giveaway on Saturday, Oct. 31, as 18-month-old Rebecca Torres (right) and her sister April, 4, show up in style at Columbus Park. Since the annual Port Chester Housing Authority reunion and basketball tournament could not take place this year, the Unity Day Committee has been hosting small events aimed at aiding the Port Chester community.
Willett Avenue resident Samantha Zhuin is ready to cast a spell on anyone who does not give her candy as she and her mother Jessica walk up to Columbus Park.
Locust Avenue resident Luna Paulino, 2, looks to wrangle up some candy while dressed up as Jessie from “Toy Story 2.”
Dressed as the princess Snow White, Mia Zhuin, 2, holds onto to her trick-or-treat bag in anticipation of getting some sweets.
In lieu of Unity Day, the event’s committee is holding smaller gatherings such as their Halloween Candy Giveaway.
