Fourth of July fireworks light up brand new field
July 11, 2021 at 11:03 p.m.
Waiting in the stands at John Ryan Stadium for the fireworks, Mitch Kruczkiewicz, a Port Chester native, and Sarah Duplessis of New Milford, Conn. are all decked out for the Fourth of July. Joining them at right is Chris Santora Stewart, a lifelong Port Chester resident and 1976 Port Chester High School graduate.
Members of the Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department water down the new artificial turf football field before the fireworks display begins.
With the Port Chester High School clocktower in the background, spectators look up to see the magnificent incendiary display over the football field. It was sponsored by Neri’s Bakery, the Village of Port Chester, Village of Rye Brook and Town of Rye.
Fireworks light up the football field and Park Avenue School behind it.
