Veterans, both living and dead, remembered ahead of their day

The Port Chester-Rye Town-Rye Brook Veterans Day ceremony honoring all veterans for their service proceeds as Port Chester firefighters in dress uniform watch from a distance at Veterans’ Memorial Park, corner of Westchester Avenue and North Regent Street, on Sunday morning, Nov. 7.

Veterans Dominick Mancuso and Pat Barrese place a memorial wreath at the flagpole monument recognizing local veterans who died during World War II and the Korean War, with a special memorial for the 8 Willow Street Boys who gave their lives in WWII.
