Singing with the plants to help B.B. kids grow: To bring good vibes to the community, Blind Brook PTA adds singalong zest to annual fall plant sale
October 7, 2021 at 8:31 a.m.
Children gather in front of Greg DiMiceli, the Ridge Street School music teacher, and dance to his songs with the routines they know from class during the Blind Brook PTA plant sale fundraiser at the Middle/High School parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 2. PTA Fundraising co-founder Alicia Scala said DiMiceli had inquired about doing a singalong outside of school hours and she felt the fall fundraiser was the perfect place for it.
Stringing together a purple and pink bead bracelet to match her outfit and bow, Ridge Street School third-grader Ellie Tapper takes her time at the craft table seriously.
Exhausted after a long day of manning the PTA booth with her mother, Blind Brook Student Assistance Counselor Monique Tricarico, Taylor, a 2-year-old Elmsford resident, finds a comfy spot to take a much-needed break.
PTA volunteer ToniAnne Rigano (left) helps Latoya Williams find matching Ridge Street School spirit gear for her children by holding up shirts to compare sizes.
Rye Brook resident Bella Scutero, 3, snacks on her doughnut holes from the Glazed & Confused food truck while listening to music on the grassy hill by the Middle/High School parking lot.
Plants are big responsibilities; the whole family should be involved with getting one! Ridge Street School kindergartner Molly Greenberg points out her favorite plant to her father Eric, which he soon after carried away to buy.
