Seasonal decorations illuminate Village of Rye Brook for holidays
December 22, 2022 at 5:00 a.m.
Frosty the Snowman and Santa enjoy a nice chat on the lawn of 25 Lincoln Ave., where oodles of lights and blow-up decorations greet drivers each night. There are snowmen, penguins, a light-up Nativity set, sleighs and even a few New York Giants-themed decorations. The house was added, along with eight others, to a list the Rye Brook Department of Recreation compiled of residences with flashy holiday decorations to encourage community members to tour the Village.
Keeping it simple, the residents of 7 Bobbie Ln. chose to decorate their yard with a light-up reindeer, a snowman and lots of strings of white lights. A few wreaths and strands of garland spiral around the columns on the house’s front stoop, providing a touch of green to the layout.
Santa made the lawn of 3 Crossway his temporary runway this wintry season. He waves at passersby, illuminated through the night by webs of lights strung over the property’s bushes.
A mighty blow-up dragon roars on the side of 33 Country Ridge Dr., flanked by Santa and his sleigh. In the front of the home, in sharp contrast to the raging beast, a softly lit angel and a few reindeer line the walkway to the front door.
The tree in front of 11 Elm Hill Dr. weeps with the joy of the holidays, its artificial icicles fake-dripping in the dark. A few Santas line either side of the residence, and the roof features strands of color-changing lights that complement the other decorations.
